What a rating is, and is not
Last updated 31 October 2026.
An advisory opinion
Every rating, report and label from rate.shinifrontiers.com is an advisory readiness check by Shinifrontiers Technologies Private Limited: our opinion of who a website suits by age, how it may influence visitors, and how its design could improve. It is not legal advice, not a certification of compliance, and not a guarantee that a website meets any law, rule or standard.
Made automatically, and it can be wrong
- Checks are made by software and AI models (Claude, by Anthropic) from up to 15 public pages, with no person involved unless you challenge a rating. AI can misread content.
- Facts found by code (trackers, permission requests, autoplay, birth-date questions) are measured, not judged; findings only one AI model saw are marked "needs confirmation".
- We see only public pages a visitor sees without logging in, on the date checked. Pages behind logins, other pages, user posts and later changes are not covered. Labels expire after 90 days for this reason.
- The free quick scan covers the start page only and gives no age rating.
Age scales and laws
The age band is shown on Indian, EU KIDS Act and PEGI scales as our own mapping for convenience. It is not a classification issued by CBFC, PEGI or any authority. The EU KIDS Act is a proposal and may change before it applies; Indian rules such as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 have their own requirements. Ask a lawyer before relying on a report for compliance.
Labels and other raters
Our label check verifies labels from any rater. A passing check means a label is genuine, for that site and current; it does not mean we agree with another rater's rating or vouch for that rater. Which raters to trust is for regulators and platforms to decide.
For parents
A label helps you decide; it does not replace your judgement or supervision, and no rating can promise that a website is free of harm.
