Terms of service

1. The service

We give advisory ratings of websites: who a site suits by age, how it influences visitors, and design findings with suggested fixes, plus a signed Open Content Label. Checks are made automatically by software and AI models from the site's public pages. We offer:

• Free: the label check (is a site's label genuine, for that site and current) and the quick scan (code checks of a site's start page, no AI and no age rating). Both are limited in number to prevent misuse.
• Website check (paid, one-off): a full advisory readiness check of up to 15 public pages, a report, and a label signed by us.

Every check is advisory: our opinion on the date checked, not legal advice, not a certification and not a guarantee that a site meets any law. Please read the disclaimer.

2. Who may order

You must be 18 or over. You may order a check of any public website. Only the website's owner, or someone they authorise, may attach the label to that website. Our scanner identifies itself and respects the site's robots.txt; if a site does not allow it, the check cannot run and you are refunded.

3. Prices and payment

The price is shown before you pay. Website check: ₹199, including 18% GST. For now the paid check is sold to buyers in India only. It is a one-off payment, not a subscription. Payment is processed by Razorpay; the amount is always set by us, never by the page. No check runs until Razorpay confirms the payment to us.

GST invoice: write to contact@shinifrontiers.com with your payment reference (and your GSTIN if you want to claim input tax credit) and we will send a tax invoice.

4. Delivery

The check starts automatically once payment is confirmed and is usually ready within a few minutes. You receive it through a private report link shown before you pay and kept in your browser. Anyone with the link can open the report, so keep it private. We do not email the link. If you lose it, write to us with your Razorpay payment reference and we will help.

5. Cancellation and refunds

• The check is a digital service that starts as soon as payment is confirmed, so it cannot be cancelled once paid, and a delivered report is not refundable because you disagree with it (see challenges below).
• We refund in full if we cannot complete the check (for example the site cannot be reached, its robots.txt does not allow scanning, or our service fails), and for duplicate or wrong charges. The report page tells you when a check could not be completed.
• Refunds go to your original payment method through Razorpay, normally within 7 to 10 working days. Write to contact@shinifrontiers.com with your payment reference if a refund has not arrived.

6. Challenging a rating

If you think a rating is wrong, write to us within 30 days of the report, saying what you believe is wrong and why. Normally no person looks at a site or report; for a challenge, a person reviews it only if you agree. If we find an error we will correct the report and label without charge.

7. Your use of reports and labels

• You may use your report as you wish and publish the label on the website it was made for, unchanged, until it expires (90 days after the check). Any change to a label breaks its signature.
• Do not present a report or label as a certification, an approval by any authority, or a statement about any other website or date. Do not use our name or label to suggest we endorse a product.
• We may stop publishing a label at rate.shinifrontiers.com/label/… if it was obtained by misleading the scanner (for example by showing it different pages), or if the law requires.
• The OCL format itself is open: anyone may implement the specification without charge.

8. Fair use

Do not misuse the service: no automated or bulk use beyond normal pace, no attempts to get around limits or reach our systems in ways we do not offer, no use that breaks the law, and no checks used to harass a website's owner. We may refuse or limit use that breaks these terms.

9. Unlawful content

If suspected child sexual abuse material comes to our attention through a check, we issue no label, keep only what the law requires, and report it to the authorities as Indian law requires (including through cybercrime.gov.in). The order is refunded.

10. Liability

We take care to run the service well, but automated ratings can be wrong and websites change. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for decisions made on a rating, and our total liability for any check is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

11. Changes and availability

We may change the service or these terms; the version in force when you paid applies to that check. We aim to keep the service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted.

12. Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes fall under the courts at Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, without affecting any right you have under consumer protection law to complain where you live.
